The distant sounds of the TV in t'other room |

Argh. It's been a while since I last updated, so I suppose seeing as I'm here, and I've even done my own layout, I should write a little.
We did the pantomime, and it was GREAT. Fantastic even. My part was changed at the very last minute but meh, it still went well and I enjoyed it, as did the little kiddie winks!
I had to wear a dress, but we shaln't delve any deeper into that...Ahem...
Christmas was good. Got freeview for my room and a new hi-fi. The hi-fi rocks as the CD door opens to the side. The side. Very swish, eh?
I got random other bits and bobs too. Um.. Slipper socks, perfume, earrings, necklace, chocolate, fuzzy socks, keyring, pink iPod Nano case, bath-smelly-relaxation-things.. And other stuff I've already forgotten about. Oops!
Along with that I got some cash (always good to have). Spent that on clothes, mainly, along with No Doubts first ever album, Interpol's 'Turn On The Bright Lights' and Alkaline Trio's 'Crimson'. All awesome albums that sound great on my new hi-fi!
Also brought two huge 'Corpse Bride' posters, which means less magnolia is shown in my bedroom. Every little helps.
DVD's wise, I now own Drop Dead Fred, The Bone Collector and Girl, Interrupted.
I think it's obvious from my new layout which one I love the most (And if you haven't seen it, it's Girl, Interrupted..), but each film is brilliant in it's own way. I've loved Drop dead Fred since I was.. Well, a wee one, and can't believe I've only just brought it. Invisible friends with bright orange hair and funky green clothes do indeed rock. Green pills suck. Those views shall never change!
I've grown to love Angelina Jolie since seeing both The Bone Collector and Girl, Interrupted. Her acting in both films is brilliant, even though the character's she plays are completely different in each film. Just shows how good she is at adjusting to different scripts, and portraying a huge range of different emotions. Yup, I'm an Angie fan now, no doubt about that one.
Ok, so now I've written more than a little. In fact I've ended up writing quite a lot. I'll finish by saying the all important thing, as I most probably won't be on at dead on 00:00:
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY. HAVE A GOOD 2006.

Sunday Morning - No Doubt |

Oh, how animated animals amuse me! Especially penguins!
It's pretty obvious that I've rented Madagascar out for the next few days. Aaaah, it's great. It made me feel 5 again. Who doesn't want to feel 5 again? The only trouble you have at 5 years old is which colour crayon to draw on the walls with!
Obviously I never did that, and mum never had to re-paint the walls at our old house...
I also watched Mr and Mrs Smith the other night - Really enjoyed that too.
Angelina and Brad really do work well together (hardly surprising...), and the comic timing between the two of them was great when it was required.
Seeing a couple try and blow each other up while still remaining sexy and funny is always a good thing if pulled off correctly.
My film taste really is strange on how much it can differ...
Ooooh - I have my costume all sorted for my panto! And we're very nearly ready to show it to the 'lil kiddies (that is if we get chosen, but we're pretty sure we will as we're a cocky lot...)
We're preforming it to the Year 7's in our school on Fridaaaay. Should be interesting to see how it goes. We've even got the whole 'Oh no she's not!' thing going on - Complete with 'Cheer!' and 'Boo! Hiss!' signs! We also have to dance at the end by the looks of it. Fuuuuuuun when it's oldie worldie dancing...
It means I have to cancel my guitar lesson this week, but GCSE work is more important. This may be the one an only time where you'll hear be geting excited about coursework and what not!

Don't Stop Me Now - The Vandals |
] |
I wish I had some exciting news to let you in on. I wish I could give you something to think about.. Or at least even make you smile! Instead I'm most liable to ramble. Ah well...
Not alot going on really. Went out shopping yesterday for mum's birthday present. Came back with that and a new hoodie for myself - eeek! Ah well, It's not like I brought it instead of mum's present. I'd never do that, seeing as I'm a lovely child. Pfft.
I'd inform you of what I brough my darling mother, but she's creeping around nearby and I don't want her to find out...
I've had to hide it until I wrap it up and give it to her, which is Thursday (24th). Seeing as I'm crap at wrapping things up I might just pop into town and buy a sparkly bag to stick it in. It's just as pretty! I can get her card at the same time too, seeing as I forgot about that yesterday. Oops.
Well, it was cold and I had to catch the bus back. Plus I can get some adorable 'Mummy, I love you' cards in town too, which are just as good as the over-priced ones in fancy card shops (which in fact do actually sell more than cards...)
Anyway, that's me done for this morn... Afternoon.

Halleujah - Jeff Buckley |

Oh the wonders of girlie girl shopping! Decided to go shopping, and came back with wings and a waaaand.
I suppose I'd better explain. During this year of Drama GSCE, we form groups and make our own versions of classic pantomimes, eventually showing them to local Primary schools. The group I'm in are doing 'Sleeping Beauty'.
I'm an Evil Faerie (now the subject makes sense...) Basically, we had too little an amount characters, and too many girls wanting to be faeries, so I decided I'd be the Witches minion - Creating mess and mayhem where ever I go.
It'll amuse the 'lil kiddies at least, which is what it's all about.
My costume will be fun, as my character is basically just very gothic/punky... Basically me, to be honest. I'm still not exactly sure what to wear, but I'm just thinking black ragged skirt, black vest top, laddered tights, and any random accessories I have that'll go (sweat bands or arm warmers etc...)
Oh and of course mucho eyeliner, that's a must.
My wings are mainly purple, with blue.. And orange.. And green. They're also glittery, which is a must when being a faerie!
My wand is black and red, with tassels. It has 'Good Girl' on one side, and 'Bad Girl' on the other. Yes - It's meant for a hen party, but hey, I'm supposed to be naughty...
All in all, this should be an interesting experiance!

Garbage - Bleed Like Me |
] |
Ah, thirty-third time lucky maybe? It's taken me forever to find a decent layout this evening. Finally found one I like, however dark. Thanks to creatBlog.com for this.
Right, life currently as follows:
Had spacers/spreaders... Blue elastic bands put between two top teeth yesterday. Fucking annoying! You can't see them, which is a plus, but I have to eat extrememly soft food. Hmm.. That's plenty of nice things chucked out of the window! Ah well, they're only in until the 24th...
Aaaah... That days my mum's birthday. And when I have my first Bio/Chem/Phys tests.
Crap.
Must remember to buy mum a present and card. Oh, and revise, that usually helps.
I think I'm going to buy Mum a kitten. Ok, so that is more for my benifit! Spent most of this morning playing with my grand'rents new kitten - Angel.
So goddamn cute! She's a tabby. Cross persian? Apparently. She 10 weeks old and soooo pretty. Has a huge gob on her though, eats like.. A HUGE eating machine. Is the most beautiful kitty though - Hard to believe that Milo the Monster (my cat) was that size once upon a time!
Must go feed him, even though he stole the prawns from my special fried rice...
